I never thought that Shaver would dive into the in-ear monitor category. Well I guess it was only a matter of time before Razer offered headphones, earbuds and wireless earbuds. Recently, Razer released its first in-ear monitor called Moray. It features a hybrid dual driver design with a balanced armature driver for the mids and highs and a dynamic driver for the lows. If you’re into audiophile gear or hi-fi headphones, you may have come across an IEM with this type of configuration before. I just hope this isn’t one of those rebranded OEM or Chi-Fi products that usually cost around $50-$100. And if so, I hope Razer got it right or at least picked the better IEM pair to rebrand. There are some cheap IEMs that sound good. The Razer Moray has an MSRP of $129.99 and is available at Amazon.com here. For more details, see the official press release below.

Ergonomic Razer Moray in-ear monitor: THX-certified sound for gamers and streamers

Razer™, the world’s leading lifestyle brand for gamers, today raised the bar for gaming audio with the launch of its first-ever in-ear monitor (IEM), the Razer Moray.

Designed specifically to meet the unique needs of gamers and marathon streamers, this groundbreaking IEM combines all-day comfort with unparalleled audio quality, setting the stage for a whole new paradigm of extended, fatigue-free gaming and broadcast sessions.

Alvin Cheung, Senior Vice President of Razer’s Hardware Business Unit :
“The introduction of the Moray marks an exciting new chapter for Razer.” With the Razer Moray, we offer not only streamers, but also gamers the exceptional audio quality that is usually associated with in-ear monitors. And we are proud to announce that this product has received the coveted global gold standard seal of audio fidelity, THX Certification.”

THX® Certified: The global gold standard for high-fidelity audio

Thanks to THX® certification – a globally recognized guarantee of quality, consistency and performance – the Razer Moray takes the gaming and streaming audio experience to a new level.

Tested and optimized by leading audio experts, the Moray offers clear voice and dialogue, a distortion-free experience and excellent noise isolation, ensuring the highest audio standards for both gaming and streaming. This certification gives listeners confidence that right out of the box, the Moray reflects the artist’s true vision, merging art, technology and the dynamics of real-world listening environments.

Hybrid dual-driver acoustic design for exceptional sound

The Moray features a dual-driver hybrid acoustic design that combines a balanced-armature driver for crystal-clear highs with a dynamic driver for deep, rich bass.

The result is exceptional audio quality that will keep streamers engaged with their fans for hours.

Ergonomically designed for all-day comfort and fit

In keeping with the Razer tradition of ergonomic excellence, the Moray places the highest priority on comfort during extended streaming sessions.

Its low-profile, ergonomic shape offers a comfortable fit that far outperforms traditional headsets, eliminating pressure on the head and ears for a seamless, fatigue-free streaming experience.

Superior passive noise isolation for the ultimate streaming focus

The Moray is more than just an IEM; It’s a powerhouse for content creation. Excellent passive noise isolation, capable of blocking up to -36dB of noise, ensures distractions are no longer an issue. Streamers can continue to focus on creating engaging content and capturing audiences.

High-quality braided over-ear cables for uninterrupted streaming

Equipped with OFC MMCX cables and flexible storage loop tubing, the Razer Moray is designed to stay in place and out of the way. These high-quality braided over-ear cables ensure in-ear monitors stay secure while streamers keep fans entertained.

Stream anytime, anywhere with custom-made earbuds and carrying case

With three types of ear tips in three different sizes, the Moray guarantees optimal comfort and sound isolation. When packed in the portable, splash-proof carrying case, it’s ready to create and stream anytime, anywhere.

Razer’s bold step into the IEM arena with the Moray represents a seismic shift in the gaming and streaming audio landscape. By combining a dual-driver hybrid acoustic design for full-range audio, exceptional passive noise isolation, and unmatched comfort for all-day listening Streaming or gaming, the Moray is considered the new titan in the field of in-ear audio for streaming.
